Counseling

The counselors are at your service to help with personal, social and academic concerns. Counseling is available to students, parents, and other affected individuals. Parent conferences are an integral part of the counseling services at Washington. Counselors, teachers, and/ or administrators are available for conferences with parents, classroom teachers, counselors and/ or administrators. Parents are strongly encouraged to contact the school to request telephone or personal conferences at 764-2000.

The counseling department offers crisis and brief individual and group counseling as well as referrals to appropriate outside providers. The counselors are available to students for academic and social guidance. They provide mediation services to resolve conflicts between students. The counselors also serve as liaisons for the many community programs available at Washington MS and facilitate/ match students with the best possible services available for their particular situation. Counselors have community resources that may be available to Washington students and families.
