UNM Clinic
Having the UNM School-Based Health Center (SBHC) at Washington middle school is like having a doctor’s office right on campus! The SBHC offers medical and behavioral health services to all students regardless of their ability to pay. Make sure to complete the SBHC registration form and select the box to give permission for your child to receive services. If you need a registration form, please stop by and see us.
A nurse practitioner, a social worker, a child psychiatrist, and a clinical assistant staff the clinic. The SBHC is able to provide a variety of services including immunizations, sports physicals, check-ups, and counseling.
Parents must register their child and give permission for their child to be seen. Parents are encouraged and welcome to come with their child for an appointment.

- Diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses
- Management of chronic illnesses
- Minor Injury care
- Vision, hearing, and blood pressure
- Health education, counseling, and wellness promotion
- Behavioral health services including screening, assessment and treatment for issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD.
- Coordination with your child’s primary doctor
